Satka, Russia, 2011 | SATK.A(RT) is a conceptual urban study for Satka (rus: Сатка), a city at in the Ural close Chelyabinsk. The study was part of an international competition for the revitalization of a public square. The history of the city is closely linked to MAGNEZIT a refractory company that was celebrating it´s 110th anniversary in 2011. The majority of the inhabitants of Satka are working at MAGNEZIT. The study is examining different strategies of how tourists could be attracted to the city within a post-industrial future.
